What is Forensic Psychology?

Forensic psychology is the science of psychology used to answer questions of interest to the legal system. The word forensic comes from the Forum, where legal matters were decided in ancient Rome. Attorneys and judges call upon psychologists during legal proceedings to give objective and comprehensive psychological evaluations and to provide expert witness testimony on specific areas of psychology.
